I honestly forgot that today was the first day of Packers voluntary workouts. About 15 minutes ago I was scrolling on twitter and came across a video of Jordan Love walking into the building and it got me so hyped.
As Jordan walked in he said, “Snow first day back man, can’t beat it.”
It has to be a pretty crazy feeling to walk into Lambeau field knowing that he is now the guy. Yes Rodgers is still on the roster, but a trade should get done sometime in the future…
The Jordan Love era is finally beginning. 3 years of sitting on the bench learning behind Aaron Rodgers and soon we will get to see just how good he can really be. We still have 4 months till the pre-season begins, and 5 months till the first Packers game of the year, but it’s pretty exciting to watch the new face of the Green Bay Packers enter the building.
I’m rooting for Jordan. He’s got a lot stacked against. Lots of haters who are doubting what he can become. Bears fans who don’t realize he is already better than Justin Fields. I’m ready for Jordan to come in in 2023 and shock the NFL. This could be the time where I try to temper expectations but what fun would that be.
Back in 2020 there were lots of mock drafts that had Jordan Love going in the top 10. He already had the talent and athletic ability and now he’s had 3 years to learn under the most talented QB in NFL history. That’s something most QB’s in the NFL never get. He’s had years to prepare and work out his weaknesses while no one was watching. He’s taken big leaps forward in his game year after year. We will finally get to see what he’s got. I’m hopeful and excited to watch Jordan turn heads in 2023.
I think Jordan will do just fine. Two years of getting out from under the salary cap and getting some good young players in the draft this year and next and I see the Packers back to being serious contenders. Love compares very much to Justin Herbert.
Luke, when Aaron started, I wasn't overly excited either. That way your not crushed if it doesn't work. I am praying like you and all believers that are Packer fans that he does well. Time will tell.
